Registration

Registration is a simple process you must complete within 30 days of installing the FREE Trial software.

Registration removes the Trial Mode Overlay, allowing you to continue using the software, and it helps to prevent casual copying of the software onto more computers than the license agreement allows.

Important: Before you ask us for the Registration Key Number !!!!!

1. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the appropriate demo and it is working entirely to your satisfaction.

Noteworthy: Decide how many cameras you wish to eventually support. If you only have a single capture card now, but plan on implementing an 8 or 16 camera system later, then you should download the version with the highest number of cameras that you will need. The 16 camera software, for example, will still work with 4, 8 or 12 cameras (1, 2 or 3 capture cards respectively).

Make sure the same Windows administrator user account is used for both installation and to run the software.

2. There is a different registration code and pricing for the 4, 8 and 16 camera software.
If you download, install and register the 4 camera software and later want to add extra cameras, you will have to completely uninstall the 4 camera version, reload the 16 camera version and  then purchase a separate and new license for the 16 camera software. No credit will be given for the original 4 camera license.

3. Be sure you are completely satisfied that the computer you are using is the one that will be the permanent camera server for your security system. We do not provide for the transfer of the program between machines once the registration key is granted and installed. The key will not work on a different computer as it is based on hardware information specific to each machine.

eMail us that you have read and followed all the Registration information, and that you have the demo working successfully on the machine of your choice. Please do not forget to tell us which camera number version you require 4, 8 or 12 cameras..

You need to purchase a registration key for your Free Trail Version of PICO2000® to:

• Remove the Trial Mode Overlay from display and subsequent recordings
• Remove the 30 Day time limit restriction

We will send you a PayPal invoice for the version of the program you have installed.

Do not worry, you do not need a PayPal account to purchase a registration key.  If you do not have a PayPal account you can pay our invoice with your credit card. It does not cost you any extra money to do this.

To ensure your privacy and protection, all purchasing transactions are handled through our PayPal account. PayPal is our Merchant Credit Card Provider. Your payment is be made to PayPal and no credit card or personal financial information is received by us.

As soon as PayPal has confirmed to us the receipt of your funds, we will email the registration key to you.

About the registration process

Please retain the email containing your License Key as it is important information as it is your Transaction ID.

Each License Key allows you to register the (4, 8 or 16 camera) PICO2000® 1.9 ORS software on a single PC. When you enter the License Key and click the Register button, the License Key and a hardware ID are sent to our registration server. The hardware ID is made up of various PC hardware components including CPU, system hard drive and network card. This process ensures that a single License Key is associated with a single PC.

Changes to your PC hardware or re-installing the operating system may invalidate your registration because the hardware IDs have changed and the PC is no longer recognized.

DuncansOnline accepts no responsibility for the invalidation of registration codes due to system changes.

It is highly recommended that your PC setup be completely finalized before registering the software. Make sure your operating system is completely up to date and stable and that the Free Trial version runs correctly on your system before registering the software. It is also recommended, where possible, to take a ghost image of your system after registration so that you can easily recover from major failures.

Minimum System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows 2000 Home/Professional or Windows XP Home/Professional
• CPU: 1.8 GHz
• RAM: 256 MB
• Internet connection required for registration. After registration the Internet connection can be disabled but the Network card must remain in the system.
• Hard Drive: 1.5 GB Free Space

We provide email support for PICO2000® 1.9 ORS software. It is the users responsibility to familiarize themselves with the software by using the Free Trial Version before purchasing.
