MINIMUM PC REQUIREMENTS

• Pentium 4 class 800 MHz processor or better

• 512 MB or better system RAM

• Microsoft Windows XP, Server 2003 or Vista

• Microsoft DirectX version 8.0 or better

• One or more USB, DV (Firewire), or Network IP cameras, or an analog capture card.

• 4 MB or better graphics adaptor with DirectX support drivers.

Caution; The Blue Iris program works with VISTA...your card may not however.
You need to be sure that the VISTA Drivers exist for your particular card.

Each capture card supports 4 camera inputs. Up to 4 capture cards can be installed and used with Blue Iris software giving 16 surveillance cameras.

ADDITIONAL HARDWARE

External Alarm Devices (door censors, etc) are not supported when connected to third party capture cards. DuncansOnline will be providing capture cards in the near future with special cables which will allow users to connect external devices. Until then, external alarm recording is not supported.

The control of PTZ Cameras requires that the PTZ data lines be connected to a COM port on the PICO2000® computer. This connection is made using an RS232 to RS422/485 Protocol Converter. We sell these converters in our eBay Store.

IMPORTANT: The manual is a chm file.... this is a compiled web page format.

There are security issues that Microsoft has encountered with this type of file, so depending on what Security Fixes you have installed on your computer, you may have trouble opening the file.

Here are the adjustments you will need to make to view the manual.

Opening a *.chm file

Warning If you are prompted to open or to save a .chm file from a Web site, you should do so only if you need the file and if you trust the Web site that is providing the file. (You can trust us!)

In the File Download dialog box, click Save, and then choose where you want to save the .chm file. Then, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

1.	Double-click the .chm file.
2.	In the Open File-Security Warning dialog box, click to clear the Always ask before opening this file check box.
3.	Click Open.

Method 2

1.	Right-click the CHM file, and then click Properties.
2.	Click Unblock.
3.	Double-click the .chm file to open the file.
