      Why a CCD Camera?

CCD and CMOS imagers were both invented in the late 1960s and 1970s (DALSA founder and CEO Dr. Savvas Chamberlain was a pioneer in developing both technologies). CCD became the preferred and dominant technology, primarily because it gave far superior imaging results.

Most of the cameras that are sold on eBay are CMOS cameras. CCD Cameras are usually twice the price and the pictures are up to 10 times clearer, brighter and colorful.

This type of camera does not like direct sunlight into the camera, so please position it where it is somewhat protected from direct sunlight. This camera has a hood that can be adjusted to help protect it from direct sunlight.

Why SUPER HAD Technology?

Super HAD technology provides two times better sensitivity and a 6 db better smear rejection ratio than the formal traditional type of CCD. Two micro lenses on top of each photo diode are able to collect more photons from incoming light compared to the usual basic CCD approach.

Sony Super HAD CCD technology provides superior sensitivity, allowing the camera to reproduce clear high resolution pictures even in low light conditions.

All of our auctions include a handling charge. That is why we refer to "shipping and handling". We use the handling charge to cover our shipping department costs, both labor and packaging materials, boxes, tape, filler and labels, as well as fuel surcharge charges.

If you purchase 2 orders from us, we reduce the shipping, handling and insurance by 20% on both orders.

Delivery and Shipping Locations
We ship from several different locations. We have warehousing in Long Island, Ohio, California, in Hong Kong, our shop in Saskatchewan, Canada and we have a factory in China. We ship from all  locations.

This camera is sent to you by UPS direct from our warehouse in New York State. Very occasionally we are temporarily out of stock.

We ship in 1-4 days from receipt of your order and payment. It should be delivered within 4-9 days after that..

Insurance
All shipments MUST be insured. This policy prevents disappointment. Our insurance includes the cost of the outgoing shipping cost of the item, so you are FULLY covered.

You are protected, for not only the value of the item, but also for the shipping cost that you have paid to have the item shipped to you. 

If the item is lost or damaged in transit, we handle all of the claim work from our end. All Freight Claims must be settled with Freight Carrier before issuing refunds. 

Canadian Buyers and Taxes
All Canadian Sales are subject to GST tax. PayPal will automatically calculate the GST in most cases, adding it to your payment. Please be careful that you do not add it twice.

Saskatchewan Residents are subject to PST as this is a new item.
