Why a CCD Camera?
CCD and CMOS imagers were both invented in the late 1960s
and 1970s (DALSA founder and CEO Dr. Savvas Chamberlain was
a pioneer in developing both technologies). CCD became the
preferred and dominant technology, primarily because it gave
far superior imaging results.
Most of the cameras that are sold on eBay are CMOS cameras.
CCD Cameras are usually twice
the price and the pictures are up to 10 times
clearer, brighter and colorful.
This type of camera does not like direct sunlight into
the camera, so please position it where it is somewhat protected
from direct sunlight.
Why Auto Iris?
An
Auto Iris lens has a little amplifier built in which
responds to the amount or brightness of light and will open or
close the iris (view hole) automatically to maintain the same
amount of brightness of light coming to the image sensor. This
means that picture will not be too bright or too dark.
What does the
Varifocal Lens do?
A
Varifocal lens is a type of manual zoom lens with a small
zoom ratio (ranging between 3.5mm to 8mm. It is used when the
focal length of the lens needs to be fine tuned to meet the
requirements of the actual scene
The
lens gives you a range of focal lengths you can take. Example
3-8mm lens will allow you to adjust for the field of view you
like (within that specified range). Varifocal lenses because of
that ability cost more.
Is
a varifocal lens the same as a zoom len?
Close to that, but
no motors built in. In real life you would do the lens
adjustment at the moment of initial installation and you would
leave it. You have the possibility to change that field of view
when you need it or when you need that camera to be located
somewhere else and you need to change the field of view for new
scene.

If you purchase
2 orders from us, we reduce the shipping, handling and
insurance by 20% on both orders.
If you purchase
3 orders from us, we reduce the shipping, handling and
insurance on all 3 orders by 25%

Multiple orders
must be completed within 7 days of the first purchase to
