There are no cables included
with this auction, other than the few feet between the camera and
the connectors. Most people have a local auto supply store that
would stock the required cables, and this way a person can get
precisely the lengths they need, at very economical pricing, without
dramatically increasing the shipping costs of the item.

There is no power adaptor
included in the auction.
The camera expects and wants to be directly
connected to the 12 volt system of your vehicle. The power
connector, in most installs, needs to be cut off. The center pin is
positive and the camera likes to be properly grounded with the other
power wire. It DOES NOT VOID the warranty to cut off the
power connector.
How Waterproof is
it?
We have sold
several hundred of these cameras over the past five years. We have received a
few complaints about moisture and water entering into the camera.
(Approximately 1 in 200 sales) After our investigation of a couple of these
complaints we discovered that the customer was using the camera to find fish
at depths under their boat. It will not work in these conditions.
Nevertheless.
it certainly helps to install it with a little help. We suggest an application
of mechanic's grease at the back of the camera where the wires come out of the
casing. For those using the camera on a motor bike for off-road racing, we
suggest you place a thin bead of silicone with a toothpick around the front
glass where it meets the casing.
Your warranty
is in force no matter how you mount the camera. You are fully covered. But to
avoid the need to return the camera for replacement, common sense and a little
extra weather resistant treatment is in order.
