Procedure
to Install Our PCI Bt878 PICO Capture Card and Blue Iris Software
============================================================
Important Note:
The following is the procedure
to install the single camera 15 day trial program. Once it is installed you will
be able to test all of your cameras, but only one camera at a time.
When you are fully satisfied with the program,
and you have asked for, received and entered your Registration Number for the
full version, you will be able to view all of your cameras (up to 25) at one
time with the multi camera views that become enabled. Also, the words Trial
Version across each camera view will disappear.
It is important to fully test the program in
Trial Mode and be completely satisfied with it, BEFORE you ask for the
Registration Code, because once it is sent to you there is no refund
available.

Read this if you have an old
version of PICO or DICO previously installed on your computer
From a customer...During the installation of the btwdmdrvinstaller5.3.8
drivers there where 2 choices; "Install this Driver" and "Uninstall
any previously installed driver associated with the Bt8xx hardware".
I selected the Uninstall since the card had used drivers from DICO and
PICO2000. During the uninstall it did successfully remove drivers left
behind from DICO and PICO2000.
When it was done uninstalling, it requested a
reboot which I did. After the PC booted up I re-started the
btwdmdrvinstaller5.3.8 driver install and successfully installed the driver and
followed all your install steps , again with with success. .

How to ADD A CAMERA Procedure
============================
Put
your mouse over the main windows and right hand click to get this menu

The New Camera Window will come up. We will start installing the first camera.

Select Video Tab. You are still working on Camera1

Select USB, Firewire, or Analog. It should be defaulted to Conexant's BtPCI Capture
Select the first Composite Video under Input Pin.

The 4 "Video Composite" entries in the Input Pin
section refer to each of the 4 channels on your DVR card..
Then Select the X,Y Size. Here is where you are selecting
the resolution. We suggest you take 640 X 480.

Leave the frame rate at 5 frames per second for now.
You can go back and experiment with this setting once you have everything
running.
You can achieve
30 frames per second with 1 camera installed
15 frames per second with 2 cameras installed
10 frames per second with 3 cameras installed
7.5 frames per second with 4 cameras installed.
Please take a moment to view our Frames Per Second YouTube Video below.
Leave all the other settings alone. Your screen should show like this photo
below.

Under the Audio Tab....do not select
anything. Your PICO card is not Audio enabled. Leave that option unticked.

You should have video now.
You
may have trouble if the Composite Video selection you made pertains to a
different channel on your card. If you have installed 4 cameras already, this
usually is
not a problem. If you have less than 4 you may need to move them from one
connector to a free one until you match the setting in the program with the
actual camera going into the computer.
Also, you may need to click on the refresh tab on the General Tab to get it.
Once you successfully have video, then proceed to the next camera.
Change the entries on the General Tab to Camera2. as
follows.....

And then change to the Video Tab and select the second
composite Video input setting.

Select the X,Y Size as 640 X 480 and the frame rate at
5.
Click back to General Tab and
click refresh.
The second
camera should now come up.
Repeat for the 3rd and 4th camera.
Having trouble?????
Take a break.........come back to it after 1/2 an
hour.....

From a customer..
All went well, except for the part about "Select the first Composite Video under
Input Pin" for camera 1. In my case the the top most video input on the card was
the 3rd Composite Video in the Input pin box and the next (or 2nd) video
input on the card was the 4th Composite Video. I
